Jimmy's father Louis first came to Gulf Shores in the 1940s for fishing get-a-ways.  He viewed Gulf Shores as an undiscovered treasure for economic growth and development.  Louis quickly became an investor in the newly incorporated fishing community.  In 1955 Louis and his wife Camille moved from their home in Ensley, AL to be permanent residents.  Just in time for newborn Jimmy D.
